Another reason in-home sessions are special is it gives me the opportunity to capture the nursery and/or family heirloom pieces like the cradle below that has been been a part of family tradition. This sweet little boy was another rockstar sleeper for his session, I had the chance to work through a lot of different set-ups with him which makes for a variety of photos. 

I come to client's homes for newborn sessions which offers a nice mix of lifestyle photography as well as posed photos using props. It's fun to capture the family in their space and often time Grandma is around for a photo too. 

Hard to believe a year has zipped by, but better late than never and I get to wish the birthday girl a Happy First Birthday, today! 

I loved the sweet sister moment we captured and I love that I finally got to use my eskimo bonnet that is fitting for a day like today too and I loved the beautiful light and character in this home but not as much as I adore this sweet family. Mom Erin and have been friends since college and I've been honored to be along for her journey into motherhood.  I love seeing her happy and blessed with this beautiful family.
